In 2010, FastLink revolutionized fiber optic cabling with its OS2/OM3/OM4 pre-terminated solutions using the advanced low-loss MTP connector. Despite being more expensive than the traditional MPO connectors, MTP connectors offered significant long-term value by enabling future-proof network infrastructure. These pre-terminated fiber solutions supported the growing demand for 10G backbone applications in data centers, while allowing easy upgrades to 40G or 100G speeds simply by replacing network equipment—no need for costly cabling changes.
