SFP Ethernet Transceiver

FastLinkcabsys SFP ethernet transceiver is the high performance and cost-effective module for serial optical data communication. It operates with +3.3V power supply. The module is complie with Multi-Source Agreement (MSA) Small Form Factor Pluggable (SFP). Each module consists of a transmitter optical subassembly, a receiver optical subassembly and an electrical subassembly. All of them are housed in a metal package and the combination produces a reliable component.

The module is a duplex LC connector transceiver designed for use in Gigabit Ethernet and 10 Gigabit Ethernet applications and to provide IEEE-802.3z and IEEE-802.3ae compliant link.

Key Features
  • Hot Swappable: Replace or add modules without powering down the system.
  • Versatility: SFP modules support various types of network media (copper, fiber optic) and speeds (1Gbps, 10Gbps, etc.)
  • Compact Design: SFP modules are small and lightweight, making them ideal for high-density networking environments.
  • Scalability: Networks can be easily upgraded by swapping out or adding new SFP transceivers, enabling faster speeds or longer distances.

Applications
  • Fiber Optic Networking: SFP modules enable high-speed data transfer over fiber-optic cables. These modules can support a range of transmission speeds (1Gbps, 10Gbps, etc.) and various types of fiber (single-mode, multi-mode), making them ideal for use in data centers, enterprise networks, and telecommunications infrastructure.
  • Ethernet Connections: SFP and Mini-GBIC modules are commonly used in Ethernet switches and routers to provide flexible connectivity options.
  • Data Centers: SFP modules are used for interconnecting switches and other devices with fiber optic cables. These devices help ensure high bandwidth and low latency between racks and across the data center infrastructure.
  • Enterprise Networks: In large enterprise networks, SFP and Mini-GBIC modules are used to connect remote locations or buildings. These modules provide high-speed, reliable connections, often over long distances, using single-mode fiber optics.
